Molluscum Contagiosum Treatment

Molluscum contagiosum is a common childhood viral skin infection caused by a poxvirus. It appears as small, smooth, dome-shaped bumps with a tiny central dimple — usually on the face, neck, armpits, trunk and limbs. Children pick it up at school, in swimming pools, and through skin-to-skin or shared towel contact, and it can spread on the same child by scratching (auto-inoculation).
